This is the website of the Werneth Allotment Society, Oldham, England and was established following the Annual General Meeting of 2007. Established primarily for the benefit of our members we nonetheless welcome you to our site and hope that you enjoy your visit. For more information about the allotment please see About Us.

NewWe have some excellent Dahlia growers on the allotment so for the rest of us I have added this monthly guide to growing Dahlias. Added 24/4/08.

NewWe are sad to announce the death of Andrew Bullough a long-time member of Werneth Park Allotments and a man of considerable horticultural expertise. Andrew was widely respected, a consumate horticulturalist and a credit to the allotment community. Click here for more information. Added 22/4/08.

The Andrew Bullough Trophy

Andrew Bullough was a legend in his own lifetime. Recognised as one of the foremost allotmenteers in Oldham (and Nationally), Andrew died on 5th February 2008, he was 97 years of age.

Andrews son, John, has established the Andrew Bullough Trophy, a crystal rosebowl which is to be awarded annually to the best Werneth Park plot.
